SummaryPerform CT procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, operating CT scanners and associated equipment with high proficiency. This includes scanner, post processing stations/programs, IV contrast injectors, O2 and suction equipment, patient transport and patient monitoring equipment.Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient orders, refer discrepancies to Radiologist and contact ordering provider.
• Prepare patients for procedures, document medical history and correlate test results.
• Administer IV contrast, evaluate image quality and consult with Radiologist as needed.
• Perform basic patient care functions, inform nursing personnel of changes in patient condition.
• Maintain radiation safety standards, report equipment malfunctions and adhere to hospital fire and safety procedures.
• Operate radiology computer system, document contrast administration and maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion.RequirementsGraduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology required. ARRT certification in Radiology, or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire required in addition to current CPR certification.
