Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join its team as an MRI Technologist. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing MRI procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. They will operate MRI scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of diagnostic imaging services.Key Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient, referring and questioning orders to the Radiologist as needed
• Properly identify patients and assist them while offering a brief explanation of the procedures, preparing them for the procedure with a full explanation and documenting on appropriate worksheets
• Interview patients for a complete medical history, reviewing in-patients, ER, and outpatients EMR's to obtain pertinent clinical history and recording medical history on requisitions
• Assume responsibility for the exam from beginning to completion, evaluating technical quality of images and consulting with a Radiologist if neededRequirementsThe ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology, with active enrollment in a ARMRIT or ARRT registry eligible program. ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI is required within one year of hire.
