Career Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Oncology Department at Prisma Health. As an Oncology Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals undergoing cancer treatment. Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs, collaborating with the healthcare team to develop effective care plans.
• Administer chemotherapy and other cancer treatments, ensuring accurate medication administration and adherence to safety protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and adjust treatments as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide emotional support and address concerns.
• Document patient information and treatment plans accurately and completely, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse; completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or comparable residency accepted in lieu of experience.
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.Additional Considerations:This role may require additional training and certifications, such as ACLS, PALS, and chemotherapy/biotherapy curriculum. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks is essential for success in this position.
