Clinical Triage and Nursing ExpertiseJob SummaryAs a Clinical Triage Specialist, you will provide high-quality nursing care and expert clinical guidance to patients and families through a variety of communication channels. This role requires strong nursing skills, the ability to assess and prioritize complex medical conditions, and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams. You will work closely with internal and external resources to ensure seamless patient care and compliance with regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities

• Assess and prioritize patient needs through telephone triage, using evidence-based guidelines and nursing expertise to provide accurate and timely information.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, including scheduling appointments, facilitating transportation, and referring patients to appropriate resources.
• Provide clinical direction and education to patients and families, utilizing clear and empathetic communication to address their concerns and needs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, including documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments, ensuring compliance and best practices in clinical triage and patient care.Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (LPN experience may be considered in lieu of 1 year of RN experience)
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina
