Division of Medical Genetics
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Columbia
is seeking a Division Chief of Pediatric Medical Genetics. This key
physician leader is an integral part of the Pediatrics Department
and leads all administrative, clinical, and educational activities
for the division. With the opening of the new Children's Hospital
in 2024, the division chief will play an important role in
maintaining the position of the division as market leader in the
region and in planning the expansion of outreach services across
the state.
The Division Chief's responsibilities include:
In the past decade, MU Healthcare is the market leader in our
region, serving 25 counties and a total population of 800,000 and
growing. We have six hospitals, more than 50 clinics and multiple
affiliations that improve patient access.
Amid the pandemic, we opened a new primary care clinic, committed
to building another and broke ground on a new seven-story
Children's Hospital which will also include birthing suites and
women's care. We provide more than 80 specialties and
subspecialties and offer the region's only Children's hospital,
Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level IV
Epilepsy Center.
