Job Title: RN - Psychiatric Nurse Job Specialty: Psychiatry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience in psychiatric nursing Job Description: - Work in a behavioral health unit with a focus on adult and geriatric populations aged 18 and over. - Provide comprehensive psychiatric care and treatment for patients with various behavioral health needs. - Participate in a bi-weekly orientation program to integrate into the care team. - Document patient information using the Paragon electronic health record system. - Handle a patient ratio of 1:8, ensuring the highest quality of care and attention. - Utilize equipment such as Dynamaps and Accucheck. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide individualized care plans. - Conduct ongoing assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary. - Maintain a professional demeanor in navy blue scrubs, adhering to dress code standards. - Join a hospital accredited by the Joint Commission, known for its excellence in multiple areas including orthopedics, cardiology, and behavioral health. - Engage with a supportive team in a facility equipped with 154 beds catering to multiple specialties. - Contribute to a workplace that values dedication and professionalism in psychiatric nursing.
