Unit Clerk/Care Team Tech(CNA) - 3Med Surg/PRN -Aiken Regional

-Unit Clerk/Care Team Technician(CNA) is responsible for assisting
the planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the
activities occurring in the nursing unit by performing clerical and
receptionist duties, and performing patient care/service
activities/procedures as outlined by the state. - - - - -Job
Duties:Performs data collection accurately and promptly. - - - - -
- - - - - - - - - Recognizes variances in patient condition and
reports promptly. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Follows the plan
of care and recommends changes to meet the ongoing needs of the
patient. - - - - Provides care that is related to the patient's
needs and well-being. - - - - - - - - - - - Participates in shift
report, as a member of the team, to meet the individual needs of
the patient.Documents data collection, tasks performed, and patient
response accurately and appropriately. - - - - - - - - - - -
Reports abnormal data findings immediately. - - - - - - - - - - - -
- - - - - - - - - - Provides blood glucose monitoring of patients
and notifies nursing of results. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
- Provides for monitoring of patients receiving blood or blood
components. - - - - - - - - - - - - Provides for monitoring of
patients on fall precautions. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Provides interventions within scope of practice (including, but not
limited to, simple dressing changes, vital signs, I&O, foley
catheter insertion/discontinuation/care, feedings, treatments,
specimen collection, linen changes, activities of daily living,
turning, and attending to hygiene needs of patients.) - - - - - - -
- - - - - - - - - Applies, replaces and removes monitoring
electrodes and telemetry packs as needed. - - - - - Assists with
the preparation of patients for procedures. - - - - - - - - - - - -
- - - - - - Assists with transporting of patients within the
hospital. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Demonstrates
familiarity with various patient categories such as emergent and
non-emergent. - - Maintains accurate inventory of unit supplies. -

systems correctly (pagers, call system, telephone). - - - - - - - -
- - - - - - - - - - Reports all identified problems to the Clinical
Supervisor and/or Manager - - - - - - - - - - - - Reports off to
the Clinical Supervisor when leaving the unit. - - - - - - - - - -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - Maintains confidentiality of the medical
record. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Entry of patient
transfers/discharges into computer system within 15 minutes of
actual transfer/discharge. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Qualifications
Job Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of
an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program. Certification
