Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join their team in Monroe, North Carolina.Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing MRI procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. They will operate MRI scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency, ensuring the highest quality images for diagnostic purposes.Key Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient, referring any discrepancies to the Radiologist.
• Properly identify patients and assist them during procedures, providing a brief explanation of the process.
• Interview patients to obtain a complete medical history, reviewing relevant clinical information and laboratory data.
• Assume responsibility for the exam from beginning to completion, ensuring accurate and timely results.
• Administer IV contrast as needed, recording the type and amount used.
• Evaluate the technical quality of images and consult with the Radiologist if necessary.
• Perform basic patient care functions, informing nursing personnel of any changes in the patient's condition.
• Assist in medical emergencies and maintain knowledge of radiation safety protocols.Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA-approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology or NMTCB certification in Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry in MRI.
