highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join
our team as a CT Scanner Operator. As a key member of our imaging
department, you will be responsible for performing CT scans and
assisting radiologists and other medical personnel in various
procedures.Responsibilities
- Exam Preparation and Administration
- Prepare patients for CT scans, explaining the procedure and
answering any questions they may have.
- Verify patient orders and refer any discrepancies to the
radiologist.
- Image Acquisition and Analysis
- Operate CT scanners and associated equipment with a high level
of proficiency.
- Evaluate the technical quality of images and consult with
radiologists as needed.
- Patient Care and Support
- Provide basic patient care functions, including patient
transport and monitoring.
- Inform nursing personnel of any changes in patient condition
and initiate life support measures as necessary.
- Equipment Maintenance and Safety
- Maintain knowledge and skills required to work safely in an
environment that can create significant exposure to bloodborne
pathogens and infectious disease.
- Report malfunctioning equipment to the department director or
clinical engineering/radiology engineer.RequirementsTo be
successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an accredited AMA program in Radiologic
or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine,
as well as advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within
one year of hire.
- Current CPR certification.Estimated SalaryThe estimated salary
for this role is between $65,000 and $85,000 per year, depending on
