• Employment Type: StaffAs an MRI Technologist at MedQuest, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services. Your duties will include:
  • Completing scans effectively and efficiently
  • Collecting pertinent data about the patient and the procedure
  • Selecting the most appropriate, cost-effective action plan after reviewing all pertinent data and assessing the patient's abilities and condition
  • Screening the patient for ferrous and RF-sensitive material before the patient enters the magnetic field
  • Positioning and preparing patients for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures
  • Reviewing the patient's chart and the physician's request to determine optimal scanning parameters for the suspected pathology
  • Preparing and administering contrast agents in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Entering necessary patient information to initiate the scan(s)
  • Assessing and monitoring the patient's physical and mental status throughout the procedure
  • Reviewing images to determine if additional scans will enhance the diagnostic value of the procedure
  • Documenting diagnostic, treatment, and patient data in the appropriate record
  • Archiving images to data storage devices according to established guidelinesAdditionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of patient care possible, including:
    • Implementing and maintaining the MedQuest Best Customer Service Program
    • Providing accurate explanations and instructions at a level the patient can understand
    • Maintaining a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique
    • Exhibiting a high level of technical competence and clinical judgment
    • Ensuring that the required supplies and equipment are available
    • Checking all equipment routinely and performing preventive maintenance when necessary
    • Sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues, peers, and all members of the healthcare team
    • Maintaining a safe environment by monitoring cryogens
    • Ensuring the Center's compliance with MedQuest Policy procedures, OSHA, local, state, and Federal regulatory requirementsRequirements for this position include:
      • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
      • ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI
      • Must complete required CEU's in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
      • Active state licensure, where applicable
      • CPR Certification is required
      • 0+ years of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, required
