Job SummaryAtrium Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to perform procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. The ideal candidate will operate CT Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.Essential Functions

• Examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient, referring and questioning orders to the Radiologist as needed.
• Properly identify and assist patients, preparing them for procedures and documenting on appropriate worksheets.
• Interview patients for a complete medical history, reviewing EMR's to obtain pertinent clinical information.
• Assume responsibility for exams from beginning to completion, evaluating technical quality and consulting with Radiologists as needed.
• Administer IV contrast according to departmental protocols, recording type and amount as required.
• Perform basic patient care functions, initiating life support measures and informing nursing personnel of any changes in patient condition.
• Operate radiology computer systems, entering orders and charging procedures/supplies.
• Maintain assigned work areas in a neat and orderly fashion, keeping equipment and supplies stocked and clean.Physical RequirementsRequires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies, with occasional standing, walking, and sitting.Education, Experience, and CertificationsGraduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology, with ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire.
