Job DescriptionJob Title: Produce Team LeadJob Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Produce Team Lead to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for leading a team of produce team members, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of product quality and presentation.Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Team Management: Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to produce team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
• Customer Service: Foster a positive and welcoming environment for customers, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Product Quality and Presentation: Oversee the receiving, stocking, and display of produce products, ensuring that they are of the highest quality and presented in an attractive and appealing manner.
• Inventory Management: Work closely with the produce buyer to manage inventory levels, ensure that products are ordered and received on time, and minimize waste and overstocking.
• Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for produce team members to enhance their knowledge and skills, and ensure that they are equipped to provide exceptional customer service.Requirements:
  • Experience: 18+ months of retail experience, with at least 6 months of supervisory experience in a produce department.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of produce team members. Strong knowledge of produce products, including their characteristics, storage, and handling requirements. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.Working Conditions: This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent lifting, bending, and standing. The produce team lead must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a wet and cold environment.
