Job SummaryThe MRI Technologist I performs procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. This role operates MRI Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency, ensuring a safe and efficient experience for patients. The MRI Technologist I is responsible for preparing patients for procedures, verifying orders, and documenting medical history.Key Responsibilities

• Verifying patient orders and preparing patients for procedures
• Operating MRI Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency
• Documenting medical history and patient information
• Ensuring a safe and efficient experience for patients
• Collaborating with medical personnel to ensure accurate diagnosesRequirements
  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI
  • CPR certificationPhysical DemandsThis role requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting during normal operation. Frequently may be required to stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel in the daily operation of the MRI department.
