Job SummaryThe MRI Technologist performs procedures in accordance with department protocols and standards. Operates MRI Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.Key Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient. Refers and questions orders to the Radiologist before performing exam.
• Properly identifies and assists patients while offering a brief explanation of the procedures.
• Interviews patients for a complete medical history and reviews EMR's to obtain pertinent clinical history.RequirementsGraduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology. ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI required within one year of hire.Working ConditionsRequires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting during normal operation.
