Job Description:
The role of the IT Business Partner (IT BP) is to act as an
executive level IT business partner across multiple functions of
the business organization (for example: marketing, customer
service, operations, etc.). The IT BP will build relationships with
their supported functional areas/departments and, along with other
members of the IT organizations, develop business strategies and
identify solutions that bring value to the organization. To do
this, the IT BP will need to acquire and maintain a deep
understanding of the supported business unit/function processes and
technologies used.A Day In The Life
- Act as the key IT liaison to business executives across the
supported functional areas
- Develop strategic business capabilities per function and
associated business value project pipelines
- Partner with business and IT leaders to prioritize intake
across Projects & Enhancements
- Assist in gathering high-level business requirements, business
value, and scope during initial discovery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with process owners and
super users
- Engage with the IT PMO on project intake and prioritization of
potential solutions
- Collaborate with other IT Business Partners and senior IT
leaders on project executionWhat will help you thrive in this
role?
- +10 years of IT experience, +5 managing at an executive
level
- +10 years of Project Leadership as either a Project Manager,
Product Owner or Technical SME
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or
Engineering
- Broad IT domain experience
- Strong communication, presentation, leadership skills, and
process modeling skills
- Familiarity with general business functions
- Problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid work authorization to work in the U.S. without company
sponsorship
- Ability to effectively collaborate with business and IT
leaders
- Ability to lead at an executive and strategic level,
negotiating & influencing as needed
- Experience delivering multi-year, cross-functional programs and
associated spend
- Strong management instincts with the ability to proactively
predict and react
- Ability to prioritize work and manage corresponding budgets and
costs
- Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts
- Self-directed, motivated, and able to work independently
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and driveHubbell
