About The RoleThis position is crucial in ensuring investments
in our industry events and internal events are strategically
optimized, well-executed, and contribute to overall business
growth. The -Elevating Presence -Strategic Business Manager -will
play a pivotal role in establishing a scalable, data-driven
approach to elevating our presence through industry and our own
events. In addition, this role will initiate a new events model for
TD SYNNEX to include end users.Travel Requirement: -Approximately
40% travel, with fluctuations based on seasonal demands. Expect
higher travel volumes during the spring and fall seasons.What
You'll DoStrategic approach to industry events (50%)
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts for industry
event participation, ensuring alignment with corporate
objectives.
- Establish and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs)
for event planning, execution, and sponsorship management.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and work with other coworkers to secure
event sponsorships, ensuring maximum ROI for the company.
- Provide regular financial and performance reports to
leadership, outlining revenue impact, budget utilization, and goal
tracking.
- Collaborate with internal marketing, sales, and vendor teams to
align event strategies with broader go-to-market initiatives.
- Leverage data and analytics to assess event performance, track
key metrics, and refine future event strategies, including lead
capture optimization, engagement tracking, and ROI
measurement.
- Collaborate with our events team on execution, procurement and
budget hard costs.Lead strategic launch of end user events (25%)
- Serve as the leader of the event design and strategy.
- Provide thought leadership around the end-user engagement and
experience developing and implementing strategies to activate and
scale end-user participation and engagement at TD SYNNEX led
events.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders responsible for partner
and vendor teams to align event themes with strategic business
priorities to drive meaningful demand generation.
- Work with the appropriate teams to market and promote these
events. This means providing direction for the following
deliverables:
- Provide thought leadership to develop event promotional
strategies, including email campaigns, social media, and content
creation.
- Utilize digital platforms to track event registrations,
engagement, and effectiveness.
- Leverage best practices to optimize event messaging for
different audiences.
- Report on event success, providing insights on engagement,
pipeline influence, and future improvements in partnership with the
BU or Vendor Teams. -Lead efforts for strategic content
orchestration (25%)
- Design and maintain a consistent messaging strategy for a
portfolio of conferences & signature events.
- Meet with key stakeholders from vendor management, program
management, creative, and events to ensure collaborative approach
on content development and alignment to key objectives from both
parties. (ie. vendor funding capture vs. business unit
objectives).
- Collaborate with team to outline mainstage and breakout
schedules for internal content to ensure aligned value-stack
representation reflective of programs key market/reseller focus
areas.
- Direct internal speakers (marketing, sales, product) and
external stakeholders to align content priorities (overall
conference theme, CTA's, market impacts, and TD SYNNEX
strategy).
- Gather and incorporate feedback from key stakeholders and GTM
team for continued enhancement of event experience and partner
interaction.
- Communicate expectations for vendor speakers on quality/level
of speaker needed for specific deliverable & provide guidelines
around messaging needing to be delivered.What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing program
management, event planning, or related fields.
- Experience in leading demand generation efforts on behalf of
vendors and reseller partners.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing event budgets
and forecasting.
- Demonstrated success in event sponsorship negotiation and
vendor management.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional
teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in event management platforms (e.g., CVENT,
Marketo) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of the IT industry and channel sales landscape is a
plus.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the
